Hi my name is Elizabeth Saucedo, and the art work that I most admire is graffiti art. Even though I cannot draw it I think it looks pretty cool. Some of my interest related to art are that you can express yourself while you draw, even if you have to do a theme drawing you can always put a little part that expresses you. I would really enjoy drawing anything just so i can get a little bit better at it. The thing I really hope to achieve in this class is to become better at drawing and to be able to learn more on how to draw.
Still Life Drawing
This is a Still Life Drawing. The objects that you see were chosen out by the students that sit at the table with me. I did all the colors with colorpencil only. It was really hard tryin to get the correct value and color of the objects shown. Also since it being my second drawing, it was kind of hard to draw it all so perfect. I know I could have done way better if I really put my mind into it. I think that Color, Shading, and Value have a lot to do with this drawing. I think they are really important because the shadow lets the person know where the light is coming from, which also makes a difference on how the color is on the objects. Color has a lot to do because it lets the person know what the object really looks like.
Cast Shadow Drawing
This is one if the first drawings I did in Art. It is a cast shadow project. It is only done with regular pencil, nothing else. I got the design from a notebook I had and just decided, “Maybe if I drop pens and pencils on it it will look different.” I tried making it seem like it was the actual thing but in black and white. I think you really needed value to be able to complete this picture because if not everything would look flat and would really not look right. I think I could have done better by making my lines straight on the notebook.
